The situation

Training data

You are a dispatcher. Your driver is free in Atlanta and looking for a load. Pick the trip the driver can actually make and that pays the best rate for all the miles driven, empty ones included.

What the words mean
Dry van
an enclosed box trailer for ordinary freight: electronics, retail goods, packaged products.
Deadhead miles
miles driven empty to reach the pickup. Nobody pays for them, yet they cost time and fuel.
Pickup window
the hours when the shipper will load the truck. Arrive after it closes and the load is gone.
Rate per mile
pay divided by miles. It lets you compare trips of different lengths.
mi and lb
miles and pounds (1 mi is about 1.6 km, 1 lb is about 0.45 kg).

Why practice

Knowing the terms is the first step. Making decisions is the next

In simulators you do not read about the work, you do it: compare offers, plan a route, find the mistake in the trip data.

  • Compare load offers

Look past the pay to the rate per mile, deadhead and deadlines.

  • Plan a route

Work out how much road, time and rest a trip needs.

  • Work with trip data

Read statuses, distances, pay and documents, and check them against each other.

  • Catch mistakes and limits

Spot time windows, weight limits and hour limits before they turn into problems.

  • Find your way around work screens

Get used to the screens the industry works in, and the English terms on them.

  • Explain your decisions

Say why you chose this trip. It helps in a job interview, too.

Practice does not replace everything else you need to know. But you can start on your own: the tasks and built-in explanations help you figure things out as you go.

Try it on your computer

Try the real program for one day

The platforms on this page (Amazon Relay, DAT One, Samsara and the others) run as a program for Windows. Get a trial key, install it and work on them yourself for 24 hours.

  1. Get a trial key

Leave your name and a way to reach you. We send a personal key for one computer.

  2. Download and install

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, about 150 MB. Windows may warn about a program without a paid signature: choose “More info”, then “Run anyway”.

  3. Enter the key and work

The 24 hours start the first time you enter the key on your computer. After that the program asks for the full version.

Download for Windows

One key works on one computer. Windows only. The program is a training environment: all data in it is for training.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I start without a separate course?

Yes. You can start with practice: the tasks and built-in explanations help you figure things out as you go. A separate course is not required. Whether you take one is up to you.

Can I try the program before I pay?

Yes. Ask for a trial key: it opens the full program for 24 hours on one Windows computer, counted from the first time you enter it. No payment is needed for the trial.

Is it suitable for a complete beginner?

Yes. Start with the trial task on this page: it shows what a working decision looks like. If the terms are new, the tasks explain them, and you can go at your own pace.

How much English do I need for the practice?

You can start at your current level. The interfaces are in English, so you will pick up the words and terms as you go, and that is part of the practice. The B2+ guideline applies to job search help, not to the practice itself.

How is a simulator different from the real platform?

These are independent training simulators. They reproduce typical work tasks in a safe environment: the data is for training, and you have no access to real accounts, real loads or real money. They are not official products of the companies whose tools they resemble.

Can I earn money inside the product?

No. The simulator does not pay out money itself. It helps you practise skills you will need in the work that follows.

Do you help people find a job?

If your English is B2 or higher, we can help you look for opportunities and prepare for employment. We do not guarantee a job or a salary: everything depends on your skills, interview results and open positions. Send an application and tell us about your English, your experience and the direction you are interested in.

How much does access cost?

The first month is 1,000,000 UZS, the second month is 500,000 UZS. We will confirm the terms after the second month when you set up access.

Can I use it on a phone?

The site and the trial task work well on a phone. The simulators themselves are different: At the moment the simulators run as a program for a computer with Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). We do not promise that every simulator works on a phone.
